Training with Vertex BD is an essential component of productivity, giving you the necessary skills to effectively use Vertex software in your daily design work.
Vertex Australia is the only official Vertex Software training provider in the Oceania and Asia. We provide general and customer-specific training courses for professional end users and system administrators.
Training is always conducted by one of our expert software support engineers, and is private for each customer. The courses are arranged either online, as on-site training, or as training at our offices.
The scope of the training can cover architectural and structural design, system administration as well as the specific needs of the customer.

Vertex BD Basics and Architectural Design Course – 2 days
You get to know Vertex BD’s user interface.
You become familiar with the basic functions of the software and practise the 3D modelling of a sample building. You learn how to use wall, floor and roof functions and component libraries. You become familiar with updating the drawing templates, producing the drawings from 3D model, as well as using the printing functions . The course will also briefly cover the 2D drawing functions.
Vertex BD Structural Design Course – 3 days
This course covers the structural detailing. You will learn to produce and modify wall frames, trusses, roof-, ceiling-, and floor panels, and create layout and panel drawings. Course includes truss layouts and basics of the truss engineering. Students will learn to create material reports, cutting lists and other important production data, such as NC files.
